1v1 Ranked Game Mode with Rank and MMR system

We really need this, just like H3 has hota - look how hota reviewed H3 and made it even more competetive.

Everyone loves grinding ranks and gaining elo, PvP without any reward besided satisfaction is just getting boring pretty quick.

I second this. Not just 1v1 though. These are low-hanging fruits that are essential for competitive multiplayer.

Unfortunately, almost all turn-based strategy games lack fundamental features for competitive multiplayer. This is so unnecessary!

Hard agree. This game is gonna die in max 2 years if there will be no ranking system. Big shame, cuz game have insane potential, but casuals will propablly downvote this proposal, even tho its literally nessecity to keep the game alive for ages.

If anybody disagrees with implementing ranking system, can you please name at least one Heroes type of game that doesn't have ranking system and is still alive today?

Hard disagree. The idea that ranked multiplayer is a necessity to keep the game alive simply isn't true. Most strategy gamers don't even play multiplayer, by a wide margin - it's something like an 80/20 split at *best*, and that's for games like Starcraft 2 that push their ranked/esports scene hard, to convince people that it's what the game is about. Songs of Conquest is already doing the actually important stuff to keep it alive by making the map editor comprehensive and easy to use.

Make my words, this game will live for max 2 years and then die like any other game with no chance to play competetivly, starting on Among us and finishing on any part of Heroes of Might and Magic expect for third that have rankeds :)

I only played homm when I was around 10, so I am by no means an expert on the genre. But it feels like 1v1 are completely different games from free for all or teams. Rush strategies are more viable and games are resolved after 1 major battle for the most part. We can have community tournaments on discord or reddit for more competitive games, but I think an mmr system is not required for now.

I would really like this feature. In particular, I would really like the MMR system to help match me with players of a similar rank. It's one of the main reasons I don't play multiplayer at the moment. I tried and played against someone with a huge knowledge advantage over me and as such I got wrecked

Today on discord i was trying to find people to play with and i said "Anybody down for 1vs1"? Few other people replied, but in different time stamps, so like after an hour or sth. This is not sustainable

Point is, if you want people to commit to a game they need to have a competetive system along with casual matchmaking system. Otherwise this game is gonna die before its launches to beta.

And please, don't hide behind "ad-populum" argument. This request might not be the most popular out of all, but it is way more important then people think.

So I think the biggest problem with the multiplayer right now is that unless you have friends to play with, getting online is kind of hard. The fact players are not divided by skill and that they can leave in the middle of the match can make it extremely frustrating and downright annoying. I would love to be able to hop on a 2v2 with a buddy or test my skills in a 1v1 and be rewarded for winning and staying till the end of the match (or perhaps getting something if the enemy just surrenders when things start going my way)

Not possible to propose a big number of players without ranking system. This is the first what is usually brings newcomers - 1v1 games and TOP ranking systems. And it will be easier to select people for tournaments as well.

I fully support the implementation of a rating system for games in the 21st century. However, I have noticed some areas for improvement in the game. Currently, there are no weather effects or day/night cycles, no dungeons, naval battles, demon factions, caravans, or personal bars with games like blackjack. Additionally, there is no player profile, online friend system, or rating network mode. By adding these features, the game would become truly perfect!

Devs,

The problem with PvP is that matches are long. It would be great to have a fast system (small map, time limit?) where games 1v1 can be finished in 30-45 min max.
