Mep editor being able to create custom factions
I don't know if this feature exists yet but I think it would be cool if you could customize the way certain factions work on the map that you're making in order to be able to create more uniquely themed scenarios.
Like, let's say, for example, you're working on some sort of story-driven scenario and it features some sort of Early Loth faction which is just like Arleon but for the sake of flavor instead of fay buildings it can build the aurelian schoolar structure or maybe even some "neutral creature" buildings once those get implemented and you're also able to alter their research trees accordingly.
I think that would expand by a lot the possibilities of player-made maps we might see in the future

TheBlasterPastor MergedFor the creation of campaign maps specifically, I think it would be useful to have the ability for custom spells and units to be created in the editor. Unique spells could give AI enemies powerful plot device level abilities from mysterious relics/forces, or offer new strategic options/challenges. New units offer the same potential. This would help add far more possibilities for challenging, fun, or even just silly adjustments for players and content creators.
Rather than having custom uploaded icons/units, for simplicity's sake, perhaps their default icons/graphics could be tinted instead.
Perhaps custom units could also have one of any number of abilities from the game (with adjustable numbers) assigned to them.
And of course, the presence of custom spells/units would also flag the map as containing custom unit/spell content to prevent any hidden multiplayer map shenanigans. -
