E-DragonThis would also solve the problem of ranged units being too strong currently as flying units have an easier time targeting those.

akoone problem. there is some maps where a portion o fit is unaccessible. if a unit would fly it could stay there, above water tiles or behind walls that are unaccessible for the rest of the units...
however "fly" could be just a "go over any eplxoding fungi, earthen wall, wooden barricade or barrels".
that could work -

McDudaIndeed, flying units (flyers) are a distinct and popular type of unit found in most TBS games (right alongside the ranged units). What makes them so special is the ability to move freely, over long distances, ignoring most of the obstacles (including other units, friendly or enemy) and terrain types on the battlefield (like gaps or puddles).
In this game, however, they are forced to cut corners, just like any other ground unit, and are susceptible to the enemy's area of control (with one exception, as far as I know, the Seneschal). -

Moderator AdminThis would require a serious re-design of more than the flying troops, a rebalancing of stats and changes in battle maps. As well as affect visuals and VFX. So for this reason we are sticking with the system we have in place :)

Wasted potentialA good game, held back by bad decisions. Or maybe it’s just pure laziness. Either way, what a shame.
