Let me cast spells after using up all of troop movement

It is currently possible to do only if there is an enemy in attack range. If there is not game just automatically switches to next unit in queue. There is no consideration for if I was about to move my unit any further with spell or just spend the rest of my essence. Let me override this behavior, for example by holding Ctrl, so I can manually end my troops turn when I'm done with casting.
