Add "Waiting for turn" actions
While waiting your turn, being able to look at your wielders, queue buildings and units to buy in the turn after or plan movement would be a massive improvement.

MustardAlso I'd like to see features that would encourage you to plan ahead during your oppontents turns.. for example during your oppontents turn you could mark the routes or tag map objects where your wielders would be going next turn or tagging the buildings which you'd want to build during the upcoming turn. Then, when your turn starts you'd have some sort of ui element to help you execute the things you have planned during other players turns.

SkwaraFor me, the most important thing is is access to information. I don't necessarily need to queue building, that will save maybe 2 seconds. Ability to plan and decide what to build saves a lot more. Also seeing spells out of turn during battle would help. That's why I think being able to open everything should be possible, just do allow to commit any action. I described it in a little more detail here:

Wait is a special skill that some T2 units have access to. That’s the way is meant to be played and it rocks. That’s it. There are units that will lose their first turn. That’s part of the gameplay and the strategy you have to deal with. -

Pierre le masson MergedHow: This feature allows you to get your resource income as soon as your turn ends so you can schedule during your opponent's turns to research, upgrade, swap items, and recruit. When it is once again your turn, you can confirm or cancel actions you scheduled, when you hit the pass button everything you scheduled and didn't cancel will automatically happen. Of course, this implies that you are able to control and check everything during your opponent's turns just as if it was your own turn.
Why: Having this feature not only gives players something to do while they're waiting, but it will also significantly shorten their actual turn because a lot of things would have been scheduled beforehand. Obviously, you can't schedule everything in advance this will be nonetheless a huge time saver. -

Tyiliyra MergedIt would be great if we could do some stuff during the enemy turn. It would certainly lessen the downtime, especially in multiplayer, because you could think and plan ahead of time. Moving around the map is not enough. But if we could view places and get similar information as if we were active, like stuff to build, locations to visit. Our spell or character screen... That would be awesome. I imagine simultanious turns could be problematic due to fight precendence. If we got the above, maybe that's enough to keep us busy.

sebthedep MergedWhen waiting for your turn (during multiplayer) you are not able to check out your wielders, settlements or even check out the number of creatures around your settlement. This makes it difficult to plan your next turn. It also makes it tedious to wait for the other player to take their turn - you can do nothing else than just wait. It would be awesome if you could interact with each of your wielders - see their army as well as inventory. Interact with your settlements to see what needs to be upgraded or the like or look at the different creatures around the map (that you can see ofc...). This would make it possible to plan out your next turn as well as make the waiting time a bit more useful/fun.

Seranuelian MergedSimply being able to look at wielder's stats, spells, building options, garrison, research, troop information or even the market while you are waiting on someone others turn would be great.
Currently there is nothing you can do while someone else is playing, aside from looking into the compendium. And this will help people strategize outside of their turn or check on things.
Extra Points; an option where you can input building something or researching something outside of your turn - which will be input when it's your turn, if you still have the resources at the start of your turn.
(Whilst you could say, hey thisll be fixed with implementation of Simultaneous turns, even there this would be nice when someone is faster than the others.) -

TJ MergedTo reduce the waiting periods (e.g. due to fights, adventuring, ...) and to improve the immersion i would love to see a possibility to communicate... without a normal chat. More like writing an ingame letter, which pops up at the start of the next round - writing warnings, greetings, planning complots, maybe even being able to trade things that way.

I recently started playing with a friend of mine as we are both huge fans of the genre and was looking for something new in these types of games. Really enjoying it so far but we saw a few thing that could be approved on. The one that we would like focus on is the waiting turn in multiplayer.
Our suggestion is to allow players the ability to view the information on heroes and owned building on the map. Looking at our own heroes's army or items, possible upgrades to the town, upgrade costs on existing buildings would be a nice addition to the boring waiting phase of the game.

Moderator AdminWe have added things that you can do/interact with when it's not your turn. Furthermore: we have added sim turns, so if you dislike downtime, feel free to play with simultanious turns instead of asynchronous turns. However, we have no plan of adding the ability to queu up buildings, troop production, etc.

Yes, I have the UI, but it doesn't give me all the information. Honestly, I rarely use the buttons in the top right, as I still have to click the empty lots to see what can I build and how much does it cost. Same thing for unit recruitment.
Although what was implemented is an improvement, I believe much more could be achieved. If it's technically hard to implement off-turn interactions with city buildings and empty lots, maybe it would make sense to add missing functionality to the UI in the top right? I'm thinking about building on empty lots via the UI and recruiting units. It would give an extra way for interaction, if someone doesn't mind the additional abstraction, and we would get access to more info out of turn for free
